I'm a Hemingway girl, all the way, but Lady Brett Ashley pissed me off to no end. This could just be me nit-picking, but the bull fighting wasn't fun to read about either. I'll keep A Farewell to Arms as my favorite. 70/1,001 ...more

Notes: I can't believe this novel is 87 years old. The older I become, the more relevant its themes. Strangely, the older I become, the more hungover I feel during the characters' stay in Pamplona. Mr. Barnes, I will see you in another few years. ...more
