I don't really know what to think or how I feel about this book. I hadn't read a book by Ernest Hemingway before and his writing style was brand new to me. It seemed to me like an exceptionally depressing book. The main character, this particularly adorable old man, is trying to cope with the nightmares of his depression through fishing.
The story itself doesn't have a fast-paced plot or anything like that. To many it will seem quite boring and flat. But I don't think it's boring. Hemingway left ...more
