What Members Thought
This book is a wonderful coming-of-age tale. Don't read it for plot- like life, it isn't clear. Read it for the beautiful language, and the pleasure of knowing that the author, as well as the protagonist, struggle through experiences just as much as we do. At first I was disappointed by the ending- but in rereading that final page, I realized that it sums up the book perfectly. This Side of Paradise is also an interesting study on youth culture before and just after WW1. I found it fascinating,
