I am not so certain that contemporary people will resonate too much with the conflict mechanism Dostoyevsky used. It is not so evident in the 21st century that someone conscience is such a strong reason for suffering after a murder. Especially after so many Hollywood examples of conscienceless characters.
Let alone this small discrepancy generated by the 150 years difference between the time when the book was initially published and today, I liked most the well rounded characters. I believe there ...more
