The first third was the sharpest writing. The middle dragged on until the heavy handed conclusion. The end catching of Bill is dramatic in extreme. Not bad for my first Dickens outside of Great Expectations.
A much more powerful read than I thought it would be. I couldn't stop turning the pages near the end. Great book!
