What Members Thought

A charming tale of a seventeen year old girl obsessed with Gothic novels, thrust into an adventure of her own. Not quite Austen's strongest novel, but I appreciate the strong sense of humour on display here. I end up rereading it more often than her other works, whenever I just want a comforting read.

This book is sassy, funny and GOOD! It's definitely an underrated Austen novel. This poor girl gets herself worked into a tizzy over some gothic novels and nearly costs herself a good life/man. I loved this one! 36/1,001
