What Members Thought

Emma is, for the first two-thirds of the book, a novel about rich people misunderstanding each other and thus being subjected to problems. Because that's a category of novel that I really enjoy, I loved the first two-thirds of the book (because it's a category of novel I really enjoy, I also don't mind Emma as the protagonist. Emma is the first novel by Jane Austen I have read (I guess P&P&Zombies doesn´t really count as a Jane Ausen novel), and I have to say that I´m pleasantly surprised. Nothing of real importance happens and there is no action what so ever, but Austen raises this nothingness to an art.
