I didn’t know what to expect from Emma. I knew nothing about this book, except that the movie Clueless was based on it. I loved Pride and Prejudice, and so I hoped for some interesting female characters and a little romance. To be honest I did not enjoy Emma as much, I found the main character meddling and pretentious, and felt very sorry for her ‘friend’ Harriet, who would have been far better off without Emma’s ‘help’.
