My one issue with this book that it was just boring.
An interesting look at how important marrying well was to women of this era, since they were not really allowed to support themselves.
A hilarious and richly varied cast of characters overcome obstacles - of their feelings and those of others - on their individual journeys to love, which could well explain why the story continues to resonate with readers today.

I like her books. I like to read her books on a sunny afternoon without doing anything ,just enjoying the language and the story.
