I now understand why quite a lot of reviewers have hinted to Lewis Carroll's possible substance abuse. Alice in Wonderland reads like one long drug trip.
I had no clue that the book would be so crazy. I'm a great fan of everything Alice in Wonderland, and especially the video game Madness Returns. Curiouser and curiouser - Alice is a young girl who has the most magnificent adventures, any child would agree. In the Alice stories, Lewis Carroll brings us back to the fantastic imaginations of a child. Certainly, though we're always hearing of Alice awakening at the end of her adventures, the child in us believes that her adventures are real.
