This is probably a good solid 3.5 stars. I liked the story and the writing well enough to want to keep reading. although, I did find some parts somewhat patchy, and not as fluid as some others. Also, for some reasons I kept thinking that the book was set in England, and not in Mass. Even after I knew for sure that it was America, in my head the characters still had a good ol' British accent.
