What Members Thought

This book was an odd duck for me to read. I read it because I have been often intrigued by the Anthony Andrews and Jeremy Irons miniseries and while my weak minded self loves Jeremy Irons voice (I can attest he is sketch as a person), I do love me some Anthony Andrews (his voice!), I decided - lets see if this book is worth a read!

Meh.
Nicely written, but remarkably dull. And I think I have a fairly high tolerance for dull.
The characters are iconic, especially if you've seen the BBC miniseries (which is why I decided to read the book since I really liked that television show). And the tale is historical and related to the Downton Abbey style stories of the gradual demise of privileged English semi-nobility in the early part of the 20th century. I do find that topic interesting, but it was rather tedious in this case.
