This is the sequel to Open Minds, which if you haven't read it, you should. The ending made me cry, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Closed Hearts. Kira is unlike other jackers, or at least she thinks she is until she meets Julian and his clan of jackers with special talents. Still, none is quite like Kira. I love this series. The whole concept is intriguing, and Susan Kaye Quinn's writing is compelling. Closed Hearts drew me right in, and it was hard to put it down to go to bed and get my work done. I love her style, her voice, and especially the main character, Kira. I read Open Minds twice and also Raf's short story while waiting for Closed Hearts to come out. Susan Quinn knows how to keep the plot flowing in this mid-trilogy book. I especially like that the ending surprised me. I thought Kira was hinting at one solution to her situation, but chose something unexpected. I give this book four stars for its genre.This series never bores! I think young adults will enjoy the action. However, I did not enjoy Raf being out of the picture. I look forward to reading the finale and I hope we see more of Raf!
Closed Hearts, the second book in the Mindjacker series was super! Kira's adventure gets more and more exciting in Closed Hearts. I love her inner struggles with her family and Raf. Her struggles with Molloy and Vellus are great, plus lots of twists regarding them. I can't wait for book three!!!! I have to know if Kira finally finds a safe place to live and be herself. Great read!

This series by Ms. Quinn is exceptional. Get a hold of this Indie author and never let go. She is a go to entertainer for your kindle.
