There is a book that worth all of your times! Suzanne Collins's writing skills are mad, she kept me reading and reading! When i finished the book i kinda wanted to get in to her world again! She created a world of fearless people fighting against all the odds to survive , a world that stuck you in the very first page!

When my best friend told me about this trilogy, I was a little skeptical. First off, I mostly read Paranormal romance books. So reading out of that genre was something I was unsure of. And the fact that I don't generallly read the dystopian type books. It never did interest me. But I gave it a chance and so glad I did.......

Gee, it's been some time since I read this book. Re-reading my review of it, though, I realized it sucked (the review) (thanks anyway to the two people who liked it), so I'm going to re-write a quick recap of my conflicting feelings towards The Hunger Games.
Okay first off, I'm usually not into dystopian novels.
That's something I always say at the beginning of my reviews of dystopian novels. Because that's it. I don't like dystopia, but I always end up reading novels nonetheless because people s ...more

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is the first book in the trilogy of the Hunger Games series and its genre is labeled as science fiction. It's about a futuristic country called Panem, a place that was once North America. The country is divided into the Capitol and 12 districts, and in order to take revenge on the districts for a rebellion that took place in their history, each year the Capitol has one girl and one boy as a tribute from each district to participate in the Hunger Games. hat are the effects of war, violence, and deprivation on people coming of age? What would you do, what would your children do if the U.S. became a tightly controlled regime that dictated who lived and died, who ate and starved, who received privilege and who barely survived? Would you follow your heart or would you plot strategy? These are some of the questions addressed in Suzanne Collins’ award-winning The Hunger Games series. I literally could not put this book down. The plot is just that engrossing. There is truth behind the hype! However, I do wish the book was written better. Also, Katniss' complete obliviousness to Gale and Peeta's feelings were annoying at first but I guess the cluelessness is necessary part of her character and the story. I can't wait to read the next book!! Was I the only one who found it really funny that the baker's son was named Peeta (as in Pita Bread)?!
