There is a book that worth all of your times! Suzanne Collins's writing skills are mad, she kept me reading and reading! When i finished the book i kinda wanted to get in to her world again! She created a world of fearless people fighting against all the odds to survive , a world that stuck you in the very first page!

When my best friend told me about this trilogy, I was a little skeptical. First off, I mostly read Paranormal romance books. So reading out of that genre was something I was unsure of. And the fact that I don't generallly read the dystopian type books. It never did interest me. But I gave it a chance and so glad I did.......

So sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen of District 12 takes her sister Prim's place in The Hunger Games as a tribute. Having to keep herself alive for her mom and Prim's sake is a difficult task for Katniss. But she is determined to at least try. She finds she is up against good-looking and sweet Peeta Mellark, whom she had an encounter with sometime ago. He saved her life and now she may have to kill him. What a way to be grateful for all he did. But when they team up and try to find a way to save each other, the story gets better. He confesses during an interview before the games that he has been in love with Katniss for a very long time. Which is a surprise to the audience and to Katniss herself. Of course it is part of the games and plan to make the capitol think they are together and happily in love. But is he really in love with her?

Oh WOW, was all I could say. I picked up the book and was lost in this crazy but vivid world that Suzanne Collins had created for us. I was lost in it the entire time. I loved it. I cried and laughed and cried some more. It was surreal but sometimes beautiful. The descriptions were so real, I felt like I was there watching the games the whole time rooting for my favorite tribute to win. But it sucked having to chose sides since they were all so young. I mean how cruel and unfair to make these kids fight each other to the death. I couldn't imagine having to go through what they did. Trying to survive but knowing the inevitable would happen-only one survivor with 24 kids competing. The odds were never in your favor.

So the story is about survival, courage and sacrifice, it also has a mix of a love triangle in there. Gale Hawthorne, who is Katniss's best friend and hunting partner is also in love with her. But his love is nothing like Peeta's. At first I was all for Gale and hoping they'd become something more than just friends. Before I knew Peeta and his story and OMG his love for her is unreal! He saved her so many times and he was never afraid to confess his feelings to her. Or the world for that matter. Now I am all PEETA PEETA PEETA!! Omg Peeta! He is amazing and so romantic! You can't help but love him from the get go.

I think everyone should read this book. It really sends a message. And though there is a love story, it doesn't focus solely on that. There is so much action that you can't stop turning the pages to see what happens next. So I know so many guys that have read this and loved it. It's for everyone. My mom is reading it now. Most of my friends have read all the books. And I am so super stoked about a movie! What an awesome experience to capture on the big screen. So I hope everyone reads it. You'll love it! ...more

OK! I get it! I finally get what all the hype is about! Why did it take me so long to read The Hunger Games? Something all readers have experienced: Too many books, too little time! But I finally started this book, and I couldn't put it down! I've never read anything like it, that's for sure. I'm sure I don't have to describe the plot, because I'll bet everybody has heard of it in one form or another. There's the book and the movie being made, so that info is readily available. Gee, it's been some time since I read this book. Re-reading my review of it, though, I realized it sucked (the review) (thanks anyway to the two people who liked it), so I'm going to re-write a quick recap of my conflicting feelings towards The Hunger Games.

Okay first off, I'm usually not into dystopian novels.
