Now this was one amazing book. The blurb does it no justice to be honest, and although I knew it was going to be an unusual, exciting read, I didn't quite expect what I read. The plot was unique and intriguing, with a mix of everything you'd want in a book (well, trilogy): romance, adventure and excitement.

Much better than I anticipated! I love L.J. Smith, but was a little worried that the books would seem dated since they were originally released in the early 90's. There were a few dated clothing descriptions, but nothing too bad. The story was original and fast paced... Although there was sort of a slow few chapters in the second book.
