I'm glad I read this book since I've heard so much about it, but it really wasn't my type of story. I can see how the action and adventure would be a draw, but it was written in a way that seemed too silly to me. The characters were all a little overblown at times, and often on the ridiculous side. While I can enjoy humor in books, this was a bit over the top for me. I was expecting a great love story, and didn't really feel like that was what I got. Even so, I did enjoy reading the book. ...more

Loved it, even more than the movie, which is saying something. Really enjoyed all the updated (30th anniversary) commentary.

Loved the story. Loved most of the "extras" but the introduction was too long and the end "Buttercup's Baby" seemed to drag for me. Probably because of the extra commentary. ...more
