This book really surprised me. I didn't enjoy it at all at the start, but then I really got into it.
It's written in letters. Letters to god, letters between sisters. All letters. And at first, it made me feel far away from the story, but once I got used to it, I loved it.
The book deals with tough issues: race, rape, religion, sexuality. I wasn't expecting that from this book at all. I thought it'd be one of those fluffy, feel good books. In a way it was, but it also didn't shy away from anythin ...more
