This author was a first time author and I completely enjoyed this book. I like the way she told the story through different timelines and I loved the mystery surrounding this book. A lot of times I guess many of the mystery books I read and give them 3 stars or less. I hate when they make it so obvious. This book was refreshing because while I kept guessing I also kept changing my mind on who the boss was. Near the end I had it narrowed down to 2 people but it was okay because it was at the end ...more

The January pick for @reesesbookclub started off with a bang! I could not stop listening to this one! Evie Porter has it all. She has a handsome boyfriend, a house she always dreamt of and a great new group of friends. What she doesn’t have is a true identity. Evie Porter doesn’t actually exist. Her boyfriend Ryan is supposed to simply be a job but there is so much more to it. I don’t want to say too much but just when I thought I figured it out I was so wrong! I loved this one!

This was such a fun read. I loved it. First Lie Wins is not your typical psychological thriller. It’s told through “multiple” POV’s over different periods of time. There were different characters and plots that each had their own mystery and twists. The way it all comes together is incredible.
