I can’t believe I hadn’t read this book before now. Absolutely delightful. Great character development, which is a feat given the format. Highly recommend the audiobook format.

I'm delighted to have read this book. I don't know why I was so hesitant. Maybe because everyone loved it so much and I didn't want to get excited for nothing. Or maybe the 3rd times the charm since I started this book twice before last week.

Mary Ann Shaffer is such an elegant writer. Such descriptive details of that little Island, that other than it descriptions of it being cold there-I wanted to pack my bags and find a cottage on a cliff. So many of her words are "musical". You could "feel" th ...more
