REREAD 1/9/25
This was so good. It was even better the 2nd time around. I had forgotten about the Venon and the Wyvern. The end and the death was still soul crushing and worse because I knew it was coming.

I don't understand why there is so much hate for this book when it's so amazing (at least to me)

I needed this book. I was in a terrible slump and this book pulled me out of it. I figured early on who Violet was going to fall for but it's okay by me.

Loved this one! Lived up to the hype, that’s for sure. I love fantasy …a story about dragons & family- what’s not to enjoy? The narrator was great too! ♥️♥️♥️
So excited for book 2 to come out now.

While I did find Violet's self doubt and teen angst to be a little annoying in parts, on a whole this was a fun book filled with Dragon's and Mythical creatures. Sort of Hunger Games meets Game of Thrones feel. I thought I knew the twist and I was still surprised. Looking forward to the next book. ...more

The dragons were really cool but the worldbuilding just wasn't there. After the romance is solidified, the next 100 pages are more on that topic and then the plot barges out of nowhere to round out the story. It was collectively terrible. ...more

OMG I loved this book. I was a bit sceptical after hearing and reading so much about this tale. Well they were all correct.

From the when Violet started to walk across the parapet, I was hooked. Violet makes friends and enemies while training. I loved how the tension is built between the students and the Violet and the leader of the Fourth Wings.

The only downside is that I have to wait till November 2023 before "Iron Flame" is released.

Read this, its a well written tale.
