Audiobook. Revisiting old friends.
I don't "like" fantasy necessarily but I decided to read this. When the paperback came in the mail and it was 800 pages of fairly small print I definitely had a moment of intimidation. I fell in love with the characters though, lots of strong females and plenty of action.

Challenging read with all these assorted Houses. I always like a book that takes a genre that has been done by many authors and gives it a new twist. Anxious to see where Martin goes with it.
I'm glad I waited until the summer holidays to read this, because now I might have to read the whole series!
