I haven't read Neil Gaiman in a while, and what I had forgotten is how I feel when I'm reading or have just finished one of his books.
Somehow, he manages to make you drift back into childhood, when everything was magical and adults were confusing and strange and life was endless and boundless and full of possibilities. He makes you think that maybe, just maybe you also had a sliver of magic in your childhood by pulling you into his universe and sprinkling fairy dust onto all your own memories.

I have never read or heard anything Neil Gaiman has done. I have to say WOW on this book. I hated that the book ended and wanted to cry b/c it had. I wanted to cry for other things too. This book reminded me of the innocence we do not have as adults it's what we've lost when we "grow up". That we can't really get it back and try so hard to. What a fantastic read! I find that Gaiman is hit or miss for me but this one was definitely a hit! Great story! I highly recommend this one!
Sometimes this book was a 5 star for me, and sometimes it was a 1 star. I guess I should read it again. I was both haunted and mesmerized by it.
