I usually find historical fiction plodding and kind of avoid it, but this was riveting. I loved it. All the stars.
Another 5 star read from TJR. I thought I knew what I was in for when I started this book, but it quickly changed on me and I loved every minute of it. Evelyn Hugo is a complex and fascinating character. I loved the subtle hint at a twist thrown in and didn’t see it coming until it revealed itself. I’m so glad I own this book.
This was a 4-star read until the end. I knew there was a twist and spent the entire book trying to figure it out. It shocked me! 5 stars
