I've never read this, and I'm glad I finally did. When I was a child, I clearly claimed this book which had been either my mother's or my Aunt June's. I wrote my name on the flyleaf in the front of the book, and then wrote Dear Jane in my neatest cursive in the back of the book. After claiming it, I kept it and never read it. What a shame. Every year or so, I end up re-reading the Anne of Green Gables series. I'm not sure if I would recommend them to an adult for the first time, but I would give a high recommendation to young readers. And as delightful trip back to my childhood, I seem unable to resist these periodically.
