I seem to be on a roll here with 4.5-5 star books lately--I'll take it! This is my second book by Fredrik Backman and I liked it almost as much as Britt-Marie. It was a lot funnier, I thought, but I wasn't moved quite as much as I was with Britt-Marie. Still, I loved this Curmudgeon and all his little quirks. Generally speaking, Backman has a gift with character portrayals, although, in this book, Jimmy was a bit too stereotyped for my taste. My least favorite scenes had to do with Jimm ...more

Loved this book. An easy read, very entertaining. If you've ever had a grumpy old man in your life, you'll enjoy this one.
