This was a fantastic story well told. Particularly appealing was the gentle and insightful way the time traveler interacted with his wife-to-be when he met her as a child given that he knew what he would one day be to her. Seriously, I am not a believer in ghost whispering in any way, size, shape, form, or manner, but this book had me on the cusp of believing that such a phenomenon as time travel is possible. Maybe the love story was so sweet that I WANT time travel to happen to me.
Through a lense of fiction and a fantastic time-bending disease, this book gave an honest picture of a marriage, the way people deal with the artifacts of childhood, with becoming a couple and sustaining that couplehood and other issues that would just end up as spoilers.

The book is a love story with a twist between Clare and Henry DeTamble. Henry time travels in and out of Clare's life starting out from childhood. Clare and Henry eventually get married and have a child. It took me a while to get into the book, but overall I liked it.
