This book was an easy read. It was charming and the characters were quite likable. I also appreciated this book's ultimate message. The thing that keeps me from ranking it four stars is its constant reference to Google. I live in Silicon Valley and understand the "Google is God" mentality that exists. A delicious cupcake of a book. Brings together all the best elements of geekiness in a meaningful, adventurous, funny, smart (as in, expects its readers to be), little bit thrilling, thoughtful, I-want-to-learn-more-about-that and what-the-heck-is-he-talking-about-and-how-do-learn-that-too way. I like the premise at the start but the story of a secret clan of people that randomly were solving a puzzle in an odd bookstore. At some point if felt like the author wasn't sure where to go after setting up the initial world and so I lost interest in the world that was created or caring what really happened to any of the characters.
