My friend recommended this and I didn't think this was going to be my thing - I'm not really into vampires. However, I really enjoyed this novel. In places I found it a bit slow but it was intriguing and I wanted to follow the story through.I will have to read the next book in the trilogy as you definitely feel you are only part way through the story when you finish the book. I hope they turn this into a film, I could imagine it as I was reading. I also feel like I know a lot more about witches,

I really liked this book. It was so interesting with all of the historical references and the places they went to. I found it easy to read and keep reading. I was going crazy not knowing what was going to happen to these people. I am really looking forward to reading the next one!
I loved this book! It's like a grown-up and more sophisticated version of Twilight, with a strong female witch as the main character, surrounded by a host of Witches, vampires, daemons and humans. Lots of romance, plenty of mystery and suspense and nice touches of historical references.
