What Members Thought
This book is slimmer but far weightier than the Harry Potter series to which it is often compared. It also came about 30 years earlier. It's not as easy to identify with Sparrowhawk as it is with Harry Potter, but I think the things Sparrowhawk learns in his magical education are more universal life lessons than what you read in the Potter series - things like pride and hubris.
