If you like a vampire book that pretty much stick to the old rules of vampire folklore you'll like this one. In this book vampires rule the town called Morganville and they're the villains of the story. Vampires can't go out at day, they're vulnerable against crosses, holy water, garlic etc.
You can also relate to the story because the setting was like in a dorm house called the Glass House (Claire, Eve, Shane and Michael live together) and I really like the characters too:

Wonderfully written and brought to life. I love the fact that Caine wrote a supposedly 'YA' Vampire novel, that wasn't childish in any way. It lacked the cheesy, flowery dialogue that many of the books lumped into that genre' seem to favor. This story was smart, fast paced, believable and kept me up reading far too late last night.
In my opinion, this was just as good as Twilight, but had a much more adult edge to it (which i loved).

this was the first book i read in a whole night.. i stayed up till after sunrise to finish it
amazing book, good plotline and very good relationships with the characters. Shane, Michael and Eve are very nice and form a quick bond with Claire and take her on as their own. Shane is relli cute, so he acts like the protector.. and poor Michael, i bet he just feels so helpless that he cant do anything- i wonder wen he turns into a vampire..?

Annoying main character. I don't understand how someone so smart, could do so many stupid things.
