Well it was great to read Blood Bound because I had missed Mercy, it has been a little since I read Moon Called so a good Mercy fix was in order.
As in Moon Called, Briggs managed to captivate me from the first couple of pages.
One of the real joys personally is the slow world building going on in the Mercy Thompson series. I know, I have only read the first two, but still I do recognise it. Iron Kissed (the thrid book in the series for those not familiar) is again building on the world, I believe ...more

Blood Bound is full of mystery and light on romance - though there is a triangle going on (which sort of became a square) but those of you who arent fond of love triangles will be pleased to know it doesnt over shadow the action and mystery solving its more of a side dish than a main meal. As for the heroine, I like Mercy; shes tough, loyal and smart with a sharp tongue and seems to have developed since Moon Called, which after reading i wasn't sure if i'd stick with the series but im glad i pic
