Originally read it because everyone was talking about this "Harry Potter" series...first time through, I thought it was just ok for a kid's book. Also thought it was a little violent (at the end) for children, but I think kids are more resilient than we often give them credit for. Reread it after I'd read HP2 and HP3 and fell in love with the series. I plan to read the whole series again this summer.
