I was looking forward to reading this book. It seemed like a great story and I loved the idea of twisting up the story of Alic in Wonderland. I thought it was going to be great. Boy was I wrong.
Although I do love the idea for the story, It was just written terribly. I was bored throughout the whole book up until the last page. Again, I love the idea of the story, but the author ruined that. Very interesting take on Alice in Wonderland, or should I say Alyss. I can understand why the author is "in hiding", as he says in the bio. This is a controversial take on the story and Carroll purists wouldn't be happy with it. But I love the idea of the Mad Hatter being an assassin and royal bodyguard. I can see the white rabbit as an albino tutor. And the idea of General Doppelganger is pretty cool, especially when it's Generals Doppel and Ganger. I wonder if they were suppose to be Tweedle D
