Shall I tell you a story?
A new and terrible one?
A ghost story?
Are you ready?
Shall I begin?

But they were all damaged, you see.
Something not right about the lot of them.

Okay, let me get this out first, this was a great book. I love the adventure mixed in with great Victorian historical fiction. So cool. The deal is I might not have been totally fair to this book because it was my first read after what was one of my favorite books of all times. It is a great read and I am looking forward to reading the next two books.

Nothing special. Libba Bray is a beautiful writer, but this particular book didn't really make me interested in the story. Nothing really *happens* in it, so I found very little to be excited for.

Hopefully it gets better in the next two books.
