I waited so long to read this book and now it brings really mixed emotions in me and i must admit that i don't know exactly how i feel about it. Don't get me wrong I LOVED IT but there were still some moments where i wasn't sure.
First off i knew Abe was Rose's father from the get go, there was just something about him that screamed that to be the case. I can certainly see where she gets her stubbornness and attitude, lol.
Sydney was cool too, although i think i exp Wow... all i can say is wow!!!!

Adrian really stepped up in this book and i absolutely loved seeing him be like he was. I'm still TEAM DIMITRI all the way, but i did soften towards Adrian slightly.

I really felt for Rose in this book and sometimes my heart just broke for her. It was so sad *sob*
I felt she had changed and continued to change heaps as a character and i was really pleased when she got to meet Dimitri's family. I loved them!
And Dimitri? Oh, Dimitri! He was bad and yet.... he was so good. I will admit that i did share Rose's feelings about him. He was/is evil (anyone can see that) but he seemed so much like his old self that at times i did forget what he was and found myself thinking of him as the old Dimitri everyone knew and loved. Then he'd do something or say something that was so evil and so unlike the old Dimitri that i was like...... crap, he's a Strigoi for crying out loud! Don't forget that.
One thing i absolutely loved was in the end when Rose came back and her and Lissa made up. I'm glad to see that Lissa can understand what Rose felt for Dimitri and understands (slightly) why she did what she did. I'm happy to see that Lissa will go with Rose if and when she leaves again.
I'm SOOOOOOO glad Rose didn't kill Dimka and i really hope against hope, that between her and Lissa they can find away to save him. I hope that this Robert guy is able to heel Dimitri somehow.
Then maybe he and Rose can actually have a happy ending..... they deserve it.
Now my finally note is that i CAN'T wait until Spirit Bound to be released. I think it's gonna be really interesting and as far as i'm concerned, next year ISN'T SOON ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I finally read this book! It wouldn't give me any rest. The most part I was looking forward to was Dimitri's behaivor, I didn't quite know what to expect from him being Strigoi (I never questioned the fact he might not have turned into one). I'm half half on this one, there are terrible parts and there are amazing parts in this book. Its just the spirit power whatever is really confusing with how it really works and with addition of spirit users in this book and how they battle each other in the end, its stupid and like I feel its inconsistent.

Mostly the terrible parts are when Rose was like go to Lissa's mind and of course its like confusing because it kind of there are two stories that going on and it kinda distract the reader fro ...more

When I read Vampire Academy #1, I was very reluctant to decide if this series would finally be my favorite..I mean, really favorite. But after reading Blood Promise...well, I think I could definitely say, This is my favorite series!! I beats twilight, Mortal Instruments, and even Hunger Games. I think the first quarter was a bit boring but when I read the page, I think its 182? *looks in the book to check*..i can't really remember, there was a part where I really laughed out loud. But after reading Blood Promise...well, I think I could definitely say, This is my favorite series!! I beats twilight, Mortal Instruments, and even Hunger Games. I think the first quarter was a bit boring but when I read the page, I think its 182? *looks in the book to check*..i can't really remember, there was a part where I really laughed out loud. Then, when I was in the first quarter of the book, I was thinking, "Why do people keep say Adrian is really nice? I still don't like him, I wont like him.", not anymore, I think otherwise. he's really nice and I really thought he really was falling for Avery! Though when Avery was using compulsion on Lissa, I was like, See? I knew you're really selfish. Well, now I don't think that way anymore. I like her already. Because maybe some meanness in her came from Avery's compulsion.
The following lines, I have written it when I reached page 282:

I love reading this book so much! I really liked the development on adrian's character though Rose didn't made me laugh the way she used to. i still hated Lissa for being selfish! I often held my breath--literally. This book is just so dang exciting! Then I reached page 282. I. Did. Not. See. That. Coming!!!!! It literally stopped my breathing. I think and paused and kicked my feet a few times, wanting to cry and throw a fit. I can't goon reading because I am surprised, sad, and mad all at the same time. Mead must make some miracle. She should! I want Dimitri back!! *whines* I thought I liked Adrian enough for him to replace Dimitri until he showed up!! AGAIN! "Rosa, You forgot my first lesson. Don't hesitate"
No!!!!!! Every time I would read Dimitri's name, I can't continue to read on the next words. Its so hard to read him as a bad character

wow. that's quite long and I still felt the same aside from some few points.
1.) I don't hate Lissa anymore.
2.) After a few more chapters, I realized, I don't want Dimitri anymore. But after seeing his good side again when he touched the ring.. oh God, I'm confused. And then it came!! The miracle! There must be a way I knew it! Rose, find Roberto! You have to!
3.) I think Adrian is nice but I don't think he's the really one for Lissa.
4.) I am quite certain, Dimitri will be back. Or else...i don't know anymore! I even thought that Dimitri would die, I might hate that ending, though I'm not sure about that.
5.) Before, I hoped Dimitri should have died. Well, not anymore! Yehey! Risa will hunt Roberto down! She better finds him soon!!

I LOVED this book it was really good :)I was a little mad when rose got caught by dxemitri and stuff but i was happy when she excasedx andx i cannot belive abe was her father I didnt see that one coming but i think she is going to write a new one a 5th ine cuz at the endx the note from demitri says something like you forgot one of my most important lessons never turn your back on your enemy untill you know they are dead.So she has to write another book right? andx I really hope rose and Adxrain ...more

I really did like this one too. I still loved Dimitri. But, I really liked Adrian's character in this book too. He did not come off so brash! I thought that a lot was discovered in this book. I am unsure how I will be able to wait until the next one comes out. ...more
