In A Nutshell:
Quentin Jackobsen is an average young man growing up in Orlando. He's not popular, or unpopular...he floats somewhere in between. The most extraordinary thing about Q's life, is that he had the good fortune to grow up living next to one Margo Roth Spiegelman. A larger than life girl who's adventures are the stuff of legend. One night, Margo enlists Q to help her carry out her biggest adventure yet; a meticulously planned out night of revenge. Upon returning home the next morning, Q ...more

This book was okay for me. There were some parts here and there that I just couldn't get through; my eyes kind of glazed over and I skipped those sections. The story plot was mediocre-- there wasn't really anything remarkable about it.
Other than that, the main reason why this book only got a 3 is because of the characters. I hated Margo's narcissistic personality and how she left "clues" in the hopes that people would immediately abandon all to go off on a wild-goose chase for a crazy, constantl ...more

I really didn't find anything interesting about this book; the hype about it is off the charts. Maybe I miss something some where along the way...I love to read about teenagers with a purpose. The main character Margo didn’t have a cause for her actions; she’s a brat that just doesn’t care about herself or her parents. People that cares about her she just throws to the side and goes on with her life.

This book has reminded me why I love to read so much! John Green is an astounding writer and I can not think of enough adjectives to describe him and his book. The story was both humorous (when it needed to be) and overall extremely insightful into life. The characters and story are all so believable that I fell right into it all. I will recommend this book to absolutely everyone!
(p.s. I read the poem "Song of Myself" by Walt Whitman while reading this book and it is just all so beautiful.) ...more

This really is a 3 1/2 star book. But I gave it four because it's my best friends favoritest book ever. The only thing that really bothered me was the end, but the end is super important, and since I'm opposed to writing reviews with spoilers, I won't tell you why it bothered me.
But I would tell you to read it, because you should. ...more
