This was definitely not up to caliber with Peeps. Peeps is possibly/probably my favorite Westerfeld book. I loved the raw, dirty tone to it. And while this one was still raw and dirty, it lacked a connection. I think that's because there were so many characters. There was never enough time to feel a connection with any one of them. And frequently I found myself flipping back to the beginning of a chapter to figure out who was talking.
