I really wanted to like this book. I think that there were parts that were enjoyable. However, I do feel like this one was a little more predictable than the others in this series. Don't get me wrong -- there were still a few surprises. But on the whole, I felt like I knew where this one was going. I do think that this is good closure for the series (I know there is a 4th book, but since it isn't told from Tally's perspective, I haven't read it yet and didn't really feel like I needed to). An awesome end to an awesome tale of...well i don't know what to call them, uglies, pretties, speicals, or cutters, well whatever they are I thought it was great book even though someone died...I won't tell you who, but even with the death of this one character the book and the series ended really well. But then I find out that there's another book called Extras which some people say is another book about them, but other people say it's just a random book about the extra things in the series. We

This was like The Uglies.....AGAIN! It was like the Uglies and the Pretties. Which ticks me off. THe first book was great, just becuase you didn't know what was gonna happen. Well in the Pretties and the specials, you KNOW what's gonna happen. Which makes me sad. I think this is one of Scott Westerfeld's poorest pieces of work. And i hate myself for having ot say that!
