What I found interesting about this book was that 2 beings could be bound by ink and blood with a tattoo, other than that it failed to impress me. Wicked Lovely was a good book and so I was looking forward to reading this one. It just did not feel right, towards the end I felt like reading it became a chore. I had to finish it (I don't want to start something and to just leave it hanging).

I definitely enjoyed this book more than the first one. I think Leslie's character was better developed than Aislinn's had been. She's alot easier to relate to and she seems a lot more real.
I didn't really find the book all that DARK though. Yes, the idea itself was dark, but Irial wasn't the cold, heartless king I imagined when I thought of the Dark Court. This was not nearly up to par! I badly wanted to abandon it at various points. But I want to continue reading about Aislinn and Seth, so I knew I had to get through this book to get to the next one. But I really had to force myself to do it. It was just really choppy the way the dialogue and scenes worked. I found myself having to reread a few times because characters would just appear in a conversation as if they had always been there. I don't remember Wicked Lovely being that way, and I hope t
