An actually good modern fairy story!
My favorite aspect of it is that Aislinn is an independed girl who isn't automatically in love with the gorgeous fairy king. There's an emotion battle rather than the all-too-common story of a girl instantly won over by the mythical being.
The story drags a little bit at some points because it isn't constant action or romance, but it sets a natural pace. Definitely leads into a good beginning for the next in the series. ...more

I cannot believe that I waited so long to read this book! It was absolutley amazing. Melissa Marr has just become one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read more from her.

This book was terrible. I kept reading thinking that it would get better but it kept dragging on. No action what so ever. The ending was horribly anti-climactic. The entire problem was solved in basically four pages. I was one of the most pointless books I have ever read. Marr is one of the few people who can make fantasy boring.
Amazing and well written. I loved it.
