The plot and premise all feels familiar enough, but I have to hand it to Becca Fitzpatrick for her sense of suspense and style. Her characters got under my skin, making me feel agitated, spooked, and even a little puppy-eyed for the hotties with wings (don’t tell me you didn’t know there were angels in this book!)

Awesome book. And I loved the mystery it had. :)
A lot of people are saying Nora is really annoying. Now the type of main character I love is someone strong and confident. Someone who isn't pushed around especially by guys.. Someone like Rose Hathaway (from Vampire Academy). Nora was definitely not like that. But she wasn't bad either. Most of the time when she done something that would normally really annoy me, it was because Patch was making her think it was okay. If you've read the book you'll ...more

This book.
A few months ago, I first stumbled into this book. I liked the title (I’m weird?), and the cover was kinda nice, so I read a few reviews on goodreads.
Did they put me off.
Sucky purple prose here, dull romance there, unstable relationship in general.
That’s why I put it down without even starting to read it, but did not look twice at it.
Still, a few days ago I read an extract from the book. There was this scene where Patch is whispering something in Nora’s ear or whatever, and after all t ...more

I had put off reading this book because I thought it would be like all the others, but it wasn't and I was delightfully surprised! The book almost had a murder mystery feel to it and kept me guessing till the end. I loved Patch's bad boy personality and the way his and Nora's relationship developed. It wasn't just a "love at first sight" romance, but more of a progression which is much more believable. I can't wait to read the next book!

this book had me captivated from beginning to end. the plot was very well devoloped and there wasn't a dull moment. Patch has a dangerous side but at times you can't always figure him out. when i started reading this book i fell so in love with it that right after i had to read it again just because i liked it so much. it isn't corny or boring like i feel many writers often do and it isn't mushy and gushy. for anyone who loves romance and doesn't like something that takes a while to get into i w
