The ultimate battle of good and evil in the world of Harry Potter has finally come! The sheer danger, heart-ache, and revelation of questions, which many of us have held for the past six books, are finally revealed.

At the risk of being called a Harry Potter fanatic, I cannot find fault with this book. But, do not judge me until you have heard my reasoning against other negative comments I have heard.

Complaint Number One: “Harry and his friends spend too much time in the forest.” Although I do ag The ultimate battle of good and evil in the world of Harry Potter has finally come! At the risk of being called a Harry Potter fanatic, I cannot find fault with this book. But, do not judge me until you have heard my reasoning against other negative comments I have heard.

Complaint Number One: “Harry and his friends spend too much time in the forest.” Although I do agree that there is a lot of time searching in the middle of no-where, I actually appreciate this aspect of the book. The fact that Harry, Hermione, and Ron felt a little lost with their quest made the story that much more believable to me – as believable as a wizard community gets, anyway. I would have had a hard time swallowing that three teenagers, who are barely adults, could save the world too easily. Their meandering added to the realism.

Complaint Number Two: “Too many people died.” I am sorry to admit this, though I will not spoil who was killed, but the death toll rises even higher in this last book. And, once again, I found this to be a believable attribute necessary to the final battle. Would you really expect a battle with an evil villain to be death-free? Yes, my heart broke more than once, drenching the pages of my book with the unstoppable tears reminiscent of Niagara Falls. But, shaking my fist and asking “Why?!” wasn’t going to bring those characters back.

Complaint Number Three: “Some questions were left unanswered.” Since none of these questions stand out in my head, I rely on any of you to bring up those queries that still pester you like an undying itch. I’d love to discuss them.

In short, I held my breath during the life-and-death battles. I had goose bumps from the clarity provided for my foggy window of questions. And, I sobbed like a newborn at the loss of my favorite characters. What more could I ask for in an ending of my favorite series?
