I JUST LOVE THESE BOOKS. IT STARTED WITH THIS ONE AND IVE BEEN HOOKED EVER SINCE. WISH THE SERIES HADNT ENDED. CANT WAIT FOR MORE BOOKS FROM MEAD!!

Review upon re-read:

I read this book 10 years ago, back when I had just discovered fantasy romance (courtesy of Twilight). Back then, this series was my favorite in the genre. So I decided to re-read it to see if now, after reading so many other books in this genre, I’d still like it as much. I do.
Usually, I find that books in this genre which were written in the early 2000s or so were only so popular back then because there weren’t many better books out yet (Twilight being an obvious example). ...more

amazing! loved the whole selfless Rose Hathaway ! She only thinks of her best friend Visilisa ;in protecting her from evil and Her love interest Dimitri; her mentor.
