This is a story of survival. But, also a love story.
I agree with the few folks who reviewed it slightly negatively because of how it was written. But, honestly it kept me reading and riveted.
Lale's spirit was indomitable. It's tough imagining living through what he lived through. But, somehow he did and, he met the love of his life.
3.5-4 stars

This is a must read story as it brings to life the concentration camps in ways you never think of. Such as how they survived and the lengths people went to survive and deal with the horror they saw.

The author writes this story at a good pace and does switch between the characters so you can see different aspects of their lives. The author also writes in a way where at the end of each chapter you want to continue reading to find out what happens.
