Okay, but not great. I just wasn't a huge fan of this series. I didn't love any of the characters and too much sadness and betrayal.

Likes:
* WICKED was trying to save the human race with a cure - the good of the many over the good of the few
* Friendship and loyalty

Dislikes:
* Abducting teenagers for experimentation

The Death Cure by James Dashner opens at the headquarters of WICKED. The subjects have been rescued from the Scorch and it’s finally over. The Trials have ended at last - at least, that’s what WICKED keeps telling Thomas and the other “subjects” who made it through the Scorch. THIS IS THE STORY OF A NARCISSIST-WITH-A-SAVIOR-COMPLEX, who, regardless of what happens to good people, gets all the rewards instead of a proper comeuppance.

Written VERY simplistically and definitely not sophisticated, the sh

This book reminded me of a blow-em-up guy movie; a lot of action and not a lot of plot development. I felt like the author was more concerned about it being fast paced then about providing an explanation for all the crazy twists. In the last two books it drove me mad that there were never any answers, but I held on thinking that by the end of the series everything would be wrapped up for me. The book's cover even shouted that the time for lies was over. Ummm, I'm still not satisfied! Still a fun ...more

I'm not sure this series was entirely plausible, but the action was enough to get me through 3 novels. What I enjoyed most about these novels were the memos from WICKED. When I envision this as a movie (and I could definitely see this being a hit), I think that the script would be based on those memos. I guess that means I liked it in some way right? ...more

I enjoyed it, but thought that the ending was less than it should have been.
