Já tinha amado a série e apesar das diferenças, consegui também adorar este livro.
Acho piada quando dizem que este livro é um futuro próximo. Não é um futuro. É o presente. Especialmente e alguns países orientais. Uma pessoa até fica assustada ao pensar que este livro foi editado há 30 anos...é tão actual em alguns aspectos.

This is the scariest sh*t I've read recently. It's eerie how relevant it has become, again. I've read reviews here from 2011 and 2012 that say this book is dated... reading this is 2017, I'm not sure how dated it is, really. I don't think it is, at all, right now, and this is really scary.

Comecei a ler este livro com um pé atrás, pois eu vi primeiro a série e a minha experiência nestes casos não costuma ser a melhor, pois a motivação de chegar ao final já não existe.
Mas como eu estava enganada! A escrita da autora é tão boa que nos prende e estava sempre à espera do que iria acontecer a seguir.
Recomendo e acho que apesar da data de publicação, este livro ainda tem muito para nos ensinar.
