Mixed feelings about this one.
There's something off in the writing in this book. It may not have been the author's fault though; it feels like a draft that could have used one more revision.
Despite the massive plot progression, a lot of it felt like slog. Much of the action felt like 'And then this happened, and then this happened, etc', instead of 'therefore this happened, therefore this happened, but then this happened, therefore this happened, etc.'.
