This is my first book by the author Jennifer Probst, after reading it I realized that there was a first book called The Marriage Bargain, but you really don't miss out on anything. The Marriage Trap was about two totally different people, but the characters from the first book are also in it.

The fall off between this book and the first book in the series "The Marriage Bargain" was pretty steep and the only blame for that is the heroine. She was an absolute Butchy pain in the ass. That plus the author started tossing in some Dom references and mild feelings of it kinda took me off of my high from the first book. I have the third book and hope for better but the author need to totally follow the K.I.S.S. method if she has hopes of the series staying sweet and fresh and uncomplicated.
