Shelves: annoying-girls, gave-up-on-series, read-in-2012, sold-gave, young-adult, fantasy

In short:

It was okay.
The writing was pretty good.
Liked the dragon stuff.
The romance was rushed and too sappy, It ruined the whole book for me.
I probably won't be reading sequel.

Below is just me ranting about the romance. It's my biggest pet peeve when it comes to books, so I'm sorry if I went on for too long.

Read this book in one day, that should say how awesome it is. Despite the little annoyances I found throughout the book, on the most part the book was well written. The character of Jacinda was so alive in the pages that I found myself lost in her story. I felt everything she felt, especially when it came to Will. The relationship with Will is just one of those epic relationships where you feel every emotion. I don't know how I'm going to wait until September for the sequel ...more

Dragons!!! I liked this book so much because there are not many ya books written about dragons. The love story between Will and Jacinda kept me not wanting to put the book down till I was finished. I haven't read a first book of a series and not had a sequel to follow it up in a very long time, so the wait for the second book to come out in September is going to be agony for me!

I'm not usually a huge fan of love-at-first-sight book series, but the way that Sophie does it makes more sense than most. Other than that little thing that irks me, the book was pretty solid. ...more

Dragons were a nice change from all the vampires, werewolves, angels, fae, etc. populating the genre (though I do like all of those, too) - this was a quick read and the end left me definitely wanting to read the next book.
